From file to lawful action

Finding the document is not enough: who activates it?

A document becomes useful only after the event, evidence of role, an institution’s procedure and the next lawful action.

Working principle

Executability tests the chain, not the existence of a file.
01

Six links in the activation chain

The event must be evidenced. The actor presents a current document or role. The bank, BV, notary or provider applies its own procedure. After the lawful action, the outcome is recorded and the map is updated.

A break in one link may delay the entire process. A notarial document does not imply automatic acceptance in another country or by a particular institution.

02

A digital route is not a password list

The map may record a category, authorised role, provider, general locator and event procedure. It does not contain passwords, PINs, seed/recovery phrases, private keys, MFA codes or the exact location of a secret.

A tabletop review does not involve using another person’s login or exercising authority prematurely. It tests procedure, evidence and the substitute actor.

Signals

Review this if you recognise your system

  • the family knows a document exists but not which version is current
  • the bank or provider route has never been discussed
